• I saw POTP when it 1st came out. I was 11 yrs old & instantly had a huge crush on him. His big eyes, soft voice & gentle demeanor (before his face got fried in a record press) & his undying love for Phoenix. It's been my favorite movie since then. I even got a tattoo of the Phantom. -- Jade
• I know William Finley from Phantom of the Paradise and Sisters. I thought Winslow Leach was very cute and I'm one of the fans who wished all that bad stuff hadn't happened to him and Phoenix. There is even fanfiction about this version of The Phantom of the Opera (wish I could find some erotic stuff!). Speaking of which, he made a film called, Dionysus in '69, also one of Brian De Palma's works. It has nudity in it, but I'm not sure if *he* gets naked or not. The only photo I've been able to find is he and some guy kneeling on a gym mat, with him wearing red shorts, a blue shirt, and a mustache, about to kiss the other guy who is shirtless and wearing denim cut-offs while a group of people watch; Bill had great legs! Even if he wasn't nude in it, I'd still watch it! I'd be pretty shallow if I liked him just for his looks. I've read memorials saying what a sweet guy he was. He was also quite intelligent and quiet. I thought it was funny how he'd played the passionate (you should have seen those love scenes!) Dr. Emil Breton in Sisters and then the geeky, virginal Winslow Leach! Personality and body are the reasons why I have a crush on him. RIP, Bill! -- Nancy King
